I'm in the process of getting my certification and am leaning heavily toward investing in the INK london iLac system.
Has anyone ever ordered from Canada? Did you find any problems with duty/shipping from across the pond? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Can't really help, but just a reminder about the exchange rate. Basically double to convert pounds to Canadian dollars.

There are many other brands available here in Canada that are just as good. You WILL be hit with duties and the exchange is double! Shipping is also high from the UK for these things. I would really think about it and try a few readily available brands.

What lines would you recommend that are comparable and readily available?

I think it's really something you'll have to try as everyone is different, but to name a few. Gelish (which is what I use and love), ibd just gel, trugel, artistic color gloss, cuccio veneer etc. Have you checked your local suppliers in what they carry?

I am training in Bio Sculpture gel which I love so far, but view it as a premium product. I'm looking for a hybrid polish/gel to add to my services to give my clients a choice in price and durability. I'm not a huge fan of CND Shellac, and my area is over-saturated with Shellac and OPI salons, which in turn promotes price-slashing wars. I'm hoping to introduce to my area a unique brand of hybrid polish/gel, which is why the ilac sounded so appealing with such rave reviews. Thank you for your recommendations, I will look into them.
