If I revamp my booard, new coating, maybe new shape, and call it an adjustable lightwight tabe, I bet most would buy it. As said it's almost perfect it just havn't got the right name.

I think your right if there was a revamped 'ironing board' sold for the purpose of carrying out nail treatments they would sell like hot cakes, at the right price :)

Carl I believe your clients would come to you if you set up in a public toilet because they know your work is amzing but if they had never heard of you or seen your work before would they go there for the first time ?

I don't mean to come across as harsh in anyway to anyone, but I do wonder how many clients would be put of after that first initial enquiry and discovering they have to get their ironing board out.

Also isn't an ironing board to narrow for the client to rest their arms on comfortably ?

Well:eek: my flabber is gasted:eek: I thought I'd given all the reasons quiet clearly, but for some reason some people seem to think that an ironing board is right down there with used cat litter.
What's that all about?
So maybe I'll bore you all and list it all.
1. Who has turned up at a clients to find the only table is a coffee table?
2. Who has found that you have to wait while the client makes room for your table?
3 Who has been faced with a round table?
4. Who has spent the whole time playing tug of war with their clients hands because the table was to wide.
So, ask client to set up ironing board with 2 chairs.
1. YOU save time (time is money)
2. You arrive and find there is space to work in.
3. You provide a good thick cover for the board which you then gather up with all your rubbish and take with you. Bin bag in boot of your car.

All my mobile clients were repeat business or referrals from my repeat clients.
No one EVER said anything negative, in fact a lot of them commented on it being a good idea and first time ALL of them commented on how professional they thought it was when I rolled out my cover and when I took all my rubbish with me.
I would sooner spend my money on the latest nail polish etc and I'd sooner have room in my car for retail products.
I always arrived on time, smartly dressed, had something interesting to talk about and remembered the names of their family, what was going on in their lives etc.
I used the best products in the business and produced the best nails I could.
Good luck to the original poster:hug: I hope you go far:hug:
