Is anyone starting college in September?

Also, it surpirsed me because I didn't know what to expect, and presumed we would all be in a classroom for the theory side of stuff, and then spend the other half of the time in the salon. But it turns out we spend all day in the salon, which makes sense really, and it's nice to be in the salon

Glad you had a good day my first 2 days were mostly paperwork and all the boring stuff! I have 1 morning in a proper classroom for theory and the rest in the salon. I think tomorrow will be a full day of practical as we've got all the induction stuff sorted out so ill let you know how it goes! I bloody hate the amount of stuff I have to take tho its a nightmare!

Have you decided on anything to help you cart your stuff around? I think you were asking previously about it, I didn't know if you had decided to go for like a trolley beauty case, or a suitcase with wheels or something.

We started eye treatments today and did each others eyebrows (just tweezing not waxing) wich I enjoyed and found quite easy really then we did manicures again and focused on the filing and cuticle work, iv got theory in the morning then facials so far im really enjoying it and everyones really nice did you have college today? X

No, my course is just one day a week. But now I've got my textbook, I'm going to have a read of it over the weekend.

I think were doing tinting next week aswel my eyebrows were already really bushy ha they look better now! Im scared to do eyebrow waxing I dont want someone to take off my whole eyebrow are you planning on doing level 3? I really want to do a acrylic nail course but my college stopped doing them :/

At the moment the college only offers beauty therapy like the facial and body electrical route? Whereas I would prefer to go down the massage route for level 3. So. I'm not sure. I'm hoping maybe they will change things on a years time! Haha probably wishful thinking

Yeah hopefully I do love everything nails im soooo tired but I had a lovely facial for like 1.5 hours nearly fell asleep ha did our theory this morning starting on the layers of the skin ect got a little bit of homework too

so annoyed uniform still has't arrived even rang them monday and they said be here by end of week.....really it is now saturday!!! least im not the only one without it in our group.

Oh how annoying theres quite a few girls on my course who havnt got there uniform aparantly there not going to have anymore size 8s till October so glas I got mine straight away! I hate the uniform though ha

Makes u wonder how organised the colleges really are doesn't it? I have my tunic however im still waiting for my trousers and they want us all wearing same so I'll have to wear my work skirt for now.order for uniform has come, but they don't have the forms we all filled in which says what size we want.so everyone is potentially taking someone elses order if their size isn't in.im also annoyed at the fact their priorities are so wrong when it comes to kit and uniform. You'd think that the students that have paid for their kit n uniform would have priority and get theirs first over the ones that are getting a bursary and paid for.

Speaking of tunics, mine came... And it's absolutly massive! 😫 have emailed the supplier to try ask them to send a smaller size and let me return the larger one. But I'm back in college on Wednesday, and I'm abit worried it won't arrive in time.

On the plus side, this will be our second day this week and we're doing eye treatments - more eyebrow shaping (with tweezers) and starting eye lash and brow tinting 😃. And at least I think we will all have our kits by then as well.

I'm trying to decide whether to purchase something to put my kit in now I've actually seen it. Anyone had any thoughts on this now you're into the course?

And also, was looking at beauty couches on eBay. They are actually Cheaper than I imagined they would be, around £50 for brand new one. Has anyone else decided how they are going to practice waxing / pedicures / treatments etc at home?

Can I ask a silly question? I've heard a couple of people say the aluminium style cases on wheels tend to get really heavy with all your kit in it. But I always wonder, isn't that what the wheels are for? Is it awkward to get in and out of the car etc is that why?

Iv got college today doing eyebrow tinting im in such a bad mood my neighbours woke me and my Daughter up at 5 this morning arguing I was sooo mad!! I ring the police anyhoo im off to college very tired today

Another week at college done we did eyelash tinting yesterday and used the steamers on our facials today and learnt the facial massage routine has been good wev also got eve taylor people coming in soon to do product training and we get a certificate and stuff
