Hi, I'm another nail newbie, considering whether to take out the nail course with bio, I spoke today at length with the course provider in fleet as I was worried about nail bitter clients and lack of a free edge! The girl explained We are not taught tips so Im worried as I have no training whatso ever in any nail systems, will this be a problem?? Should I train in another system first and then do a conversion course? Confused with the right way to go about becoming a nail tech!! I'm also worried cause if business is slow to pick up, will a salon accept me with just a bio sculpt qualification???
Thank u girls for any advice xx

i regard biosculpture as an additional treatment that a nail technician can give. it especially suits those who wish to have an overlay on to the natural nail for colour and strength. it has a good following and the name is recognised by the public. there are more techniques you can do with it but they are more complicated and it doesnt sound as if you will be covering them in the course. i know of very few technicians that survive on the income of bio treatments alone.

i do not think that biosculpture alone makes you a nail technician, it has such a lot of limitations. there are products out there that have so many more possibilities in terms of strength , syle and ease of use as well as cost effectiveness.

i think you will be better to learn l/p acrilic or [hard] gel nail extensions and then take on biosculpture at a later date if you see a demand for it.

by the way in case you are wondering, i am trained in biosculpture and do offer it in the salon.

biosculpture are brilliant go for it :)

i'm definately not saying that biosculpture isnt a good product.

but in regard to the question the original poster asked, its not enough on its own.

Hey,
Thank u for your thoughts, it's a shame bio don't do the full package cause I really don't want to learn the other systems :-( but I guess maybe there's no choice.... Now to find a suitable course that dosnt cost ££££££
Much love x
