Is it easier to style with wax on damp hair?

I tried styling my hair with wax today and it is very difficult to create separation or control it. If I use it on damp hair, is it going to be easier to control it and create separation?

What wax are you using? How are you applying it? The best way is to rub it through your hands and then all through your hair, and then style it. Instead if applying it to fingers and styling it (if that makes sense lol) x

Have you tried using different wax
Also water will weaken it just a thought!
