Hi

Please see pics attached, is my pic balayage?

Blue one is the pic I showed because I only wanted it like the pic at the ends.
The other one is my hair :(

Thanks in advance xx

Balayage is a freehand technique whereby the colourist paints your hair with a brush as if it were a canvas and applies highlights (or lowlights) selectively to give the hair a more natural sun kissed look, particularly framing the face, for instance. Foil sheets are only applied to separate the sections rather than wrap the colour.

It's not easy to do well without proper training and a lot of practice, as you've sadly discovered.

Ombré is the term for colour that blends from dark to light. (Reverse ombré is light to dark)

I think you need to ask for a refund and go elsewhere for it to be fixed. What you have looks nothing like the picture you've attached and appears to have been done by someone who doesn't have a clue. The lighter pieces are brassy and start far too high on the head.

Thank you that's what I thought, I complained & she also chopped into my hair like mad, making it ridiculously short layers, it was like a bob with some wispy bits at the end. And all I got told was to come in again & the owner would cover my grays and look at the colour.

BUT to be honest I'm not really keen on having my hair touched again & I don't have the spare time as I'm working.

My hair had old colour on the ends & growth of about 6 months natural roots which were dark brown with grey. It took about 4 hrs.

I was supposed to be charged £110 but she's new there so they were doing 50% off.

Im so upset :(

Thanks for clearing that up because they both called it balayage but I didn't think it was.

I also asked what shampoo & conditioner I should use to keep my hair in good condition considering she was bleaching it and I was supposed to be coming soon to bleach it again & she said a shampoo with keratin in it! Didn't sell me what was in the salon or recommend any brand :-/

Xx
