Ok so start brainstorming, best way of achieving metallic purple using wella, any suggesstions? The client who wants it would require some kind of pre lightening/bleach bathing, bit obviously if that exposes warm tones it will affect colour result, 0/68 colour touch????

I use Wella and have to say that it is really hard to achieve a metallic purple with their line. I use pravana for any funky colors. Hope this helps!

Wella wont get bright enough. I know cos ive been bright purple and what i used to do was use 55/66 with blue special mix and then it would fade really quick so I'd plonk a load of semi permanent directions plum over it. Also the really bright purple jessie j has looks like a wig but the colour itself can be achieved by mixing purple and blue semis together until you get the colour you want. You could try with their special mix i guess but you wouldnt know what colour it would be until its developed like you do with semis.

Oh and yeah pre lightening probably to the yellow blonde stage at least unless she is willing to settle for a slightly darker purple (for plum directions i only had to bleach to the red stage).

Excellent Thanks, I was thinking the directions would be the best way to go actually. Xx
