Hi ladies and gents, i have a client in a few weeks time, just trained in micro loop extensions but wasn't shown how to do higlights:eek:, my client wants hlight lights and low lights. I know i will need three clours, was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do highlitghs and lowlights.

Don't know why i wasnt shown this, i done home learning.

Thanks,

jen

You trainer should have covered that with you. I would go back to them as that's what you paid for?

But I would just apply the same logic you do when your highlighting normal hair, that's what I do as I wan't given this training either!!!

You cannot expect to know this if your not a trained hairdresser

I dont understand how people can do extensions when they are not a hairdresser first

I have said this before, but extensions should be an extra qualification to a trained, qualified and experienced hairdresser

Yeah it is very hard to explain this to a non hairdresser. I can't even explain here as it is kind of something you have a feeling for. But as a previous poster said, you place them just like you would normally do highlights and lowlights, which is also hard to understand if you are not a hairdresser. It depends on where the client wants them. You can do 1,2,1,2,1,2 with the various colors or 1,1,2,1,1,2 or 1,2,3,1,2,3 if you understand what I mean? There can be different spacing of the various colors depending on her natural colors and where she wants highlights. Really hard to explain in text to a non hairdresser. But that is for a full head, if just applying highlights you place them where you normally would highlights in a natural way.
