hello,

Is it possible to tint a clients lashes prior to fitting lash extensions? Not sure if the tint would affect the lash extension adhesive etc?
I'm new to the extension world. Some clients have very fair lashes and I thought if they were tinted first, it'd be easier for me to see them and may give a better finished look for the client once the extensions are on?

Also does anyone own an eyelash separator tool?? Any advice about them?

Thanks for looking/reading

Hi, there has always been much debate on this question. Personally I have my client wait at least 24 hours after tint to have eyelash extensions applied, as this is what I was advised to do in my training. There are chemicals in the tint which open up the hair cuticle and so a resting period should be advised to let the hair cuticle to relax and allow for better adhesion of eyelash extensions.
I also think it is unnecessary to use so many chemicals in one visit on the one area but this is just my opinion. If there were even a tiny bit of tint left on the clients eyes and her eyes water during eyelash extension treatment then it may run into her eyes and cause her a lot of discomfort.
If it is just for the sake of darkening very fair lashes then you could maybe try using a black tape to help you see the lashes better.

Yes you can tint before extensions just make sure you've removed all product it makes them a tad easier to attach the extensions to as well. You can also tint at an infill as well [emoji106]
