Sorry Victoria...Lavender Skulls....for a wedding.... WTF!!!!!

The 80's the decade that we should all forget lol:lol:!!!!!

I'm a product of the 70's, and was a teen of the 80's
UGH
what kind of freak does that make ME?

I'll google goth and see what turns up.
I tried googling skulls, but got pirate flags for my efforts :irked:

Thanks again!
I knew I could count on you gals to get my creative juices going and for some great ideas!!

Now she had decided she's not wearing black for the wedding, do you know what colours she is wearing?

Ya know, I've absolutely NO IDEA
LOL
I should ask.
Wouldnt want her nails to either 'clash' or 'blend' into the background (hard to do with skulls, but don't want nails same colour as the dress tsk tsk)

I'll pm her now to find out LOL

you could do little skulls......this is what I do .....( usually for Halloween )

Use the back of an art brush (the end without hairs) to make a big dot.......then make a smaller dot on the bottom of the big dot.....

then while the paint is still sorta wet make a line in the middle of the smaller dot for the mouth......
then on the big dot you can use a dotter and make smaller ones within the big one to create the eyes....( have I lost you yet?) ....then just paint the gray...or whatever colour around the side to enhance it .....
this way if you wanted you can make two skulls on her ring finger ....and just put maybe cross bones on the other ring finger ....
I for sure would not think she would want skulls on every finger.....

I like the thought of lavender glitter though.....

I'd go with Lell's image of a skull and maybe do it with a dotting tool! In a lavender, lilac or glitter design?
Imo I wouldnt try to do anything to much or it could end up looking like a blob, especially if you are going to accent the ring fingers.
Good luck V, this will get your artisitic juices flowing!! Love a challenge!!

victoria, you could try looking at some tattoo designs for inspiration, its a real popular subject matter for skin ink.

how you are going to make them look classy is another matter though. i'm glad no one is asking for wedding nails like that round here

If you pm me your email addy victoria i can send you a picture of some nails done with rhinestone skulls, you might be able to copy these in a different colour

Hi Victoria, I thought your skull looked great. I dont know why you are so concerned on trying to make it look classy though, I get the impression it is possibly not a priority for the bride. !! Skulls, black dress.... ????

Her black dress got "vetoed" by mom and daughter

It's an off-white eyelet summer dress (budget wedding, non-formal).

I guess I want it classy/smart/elegant because that's what weddings are supposed to be?
I don't want it to look too goth, but I guess that sounds silly.

Although, I'm really warming up to the idea of grey/glitter skull, against lavender...
I'm gonna have a play later today, and post some of my 'attempts' and you all can give your Yays/Nays :lol:

Wow Victoria, you have received loads of fab suggestions. Everything better than I could ever have come up with, lol:green:.

I have to admit that this skull and crossbone thing is not my cup of tea so I would really struggle to create what the bride wants.

Good luck and please remember to post a piccie of the end result. xx

o0h a toughie there Victoria, you've had some great ideas and I like the design lell posted for you, I'm sure something alone those lines would look fab.
Just one more idea, have you tried making the water decals before?, Glynis has a tutorial on them and it came to my rescue when I had a client wanting elvis painted on her nails !
