Hi All :)

My hair is so dry from bleaching and colouring. It has been severly processed lately and despite using good quality shampoo and deep conditioners it still looks a bit fluffy after it has been washed. It looks better a couple of days later but I really want it to look smoother and shinier after it has just been washed.

As the title suggests, any recommendations? Cost is not a problem.
I have my eye on the following products;

Kérastase Crème Oléo-Relax Slim
Redken Anti-snap
Kérastase Elixir Ultime

Let me know what you experts recommend please.

Armagen Oil
Kitoko Hair therapy Oil

Both a lot cheaper and more effective than the overprice kerastase products :)

I've just started using global keratin (GK Hair) leave in cream and serum. They're amazing. I've tried everything, and this is by far the best. I have very dry, coarse, fluffy hair (which has grown out and dyed over bleached parts) and it makes it so soft.

I will always stick by as a personal favourite for my own hair, the Aussie range.

Not as expensive as the professional ranges, but I think the shine and feel to my hair after ive used it really is priceless!

I also discovered, in my local 'hair extension' shop, conditioner that was especially for afro-caribbean hair. And, thought id try it on my own, even though I dont have afro-caribbean hair. (Thats the devil in me haha!)

And, that was suprisingly amazing! Where it was intended for use on very thick, dull hair, it completely revitalised my hair! I will take a look when I get back from work and see what it was called, I think it was only £4.99 for 1litre too! Bargain!

:)

Thanks for the suggestions ladies.

I was in Regis today and looked for Argan 6 by Redken but they didn't have it.
I ended up paying £33.50 for a 125ml bottle of Kérastase Elixir Ultime
I have short hair so it will last ages (I'll make sure of it)

Elixr ultime is amazing! I use it loads! You can use it as a pre shampoo treatment to! Definitely worth every penny!!!! & it does last ages :)

Persianista just wanted to mention the webpage on your page is not working. I mean if I click your name and it comes up "visit Persianista's homepage" it doesn't seem to work.

Also I love any mask with keratin to put on the ends and also me and my clients are addicted to Maroccan Oil in the ends when wet, not too much of it but it does make it really nice.

Hi Lou

My routine consists of washing with Joico K-PAK Reconstruct Shampoo & Conditioner every 3 days and I tone using Matrix So Silver once a week followed by Joico Deep Penetrating Reconstructor for 10 minutes and then a conditioning mask usually L'Oréal Professionnel Intense Repair for about 2 hours. It's so damaged that it looks fluffly as hell after it has been washed so I'm thinking of using Elixir on towel dried hair and a teeny tiny amount on dry hair to smooth it down.

Try applying a pump of it to your hair whilst it's dry (before shampooing) it helps to even out the porosity & protects it, you can then apply more whilst towel dry to its really lightweight so it won't overload your hair... I really use loads! & I love it for my extensions to :)

Merlin by Curzon Professional.

The salon use only Propak protein (w20) treatment will intensely treat badly damaged hair.
Follow this with the Central balance protein treatment, then seal the cuticle with a surface sealer such as the prolate balancing or raspberry sealer.

This will strengthen your hair and leave it looking smoother.

If you use their Prolate 15 treatment as your normal conditioner, this will condition your hair but stregthen it at the same time making it firmer so it doesn't go like cotton wool.

Merlin Professional Hair Care

I've just realised it's called Ultime not ultimate. Doh

Hi all

After I shampoo and condition my hair I mix a pump of Elixir Ultime and a small amount of Oléo-Relax Crème and distribute through my towel-dried hair.
I leave it dry naturally and I have to say the results are very good indeed, and the smell is incredible.
