hey I'm on a questioning mission tonight!

how long do you guys advise leaving between colour and bleaching processes?? as in if a client had her hair bleached, decided she didn't like it and wanted it bleaching lighter, or to go the other way to go darker etc.
our salon tells us to try and leave two weeks between treatments to try and maintain good condition of the hair, wondered how long others advised?

I always make clients wait at least 2 weeks, for a start if it's something new they need to get used to it first. If their hair isn't in great condition, it depends on what they want done. An example I have is a new client has come to me she has hair coloured a base 4, turns out she has bleached hi lights underneath and loads of them, her last hairdresser did such a fab job of covering it I had no idea. She wants to go back blonde, I refuse to stripe the colour out, for a start I've just done a Brazilian blow dry on her, but her ends are pretty knackered, so all I will do is a few foils with bleach, I warned her they wouldn't lift much, but she loves them, within a wk she's asking for more, I've refused, told her 4-6 wks before I will touch it.

thanks for that reply,
reason I'm asking is I have a client who is asking me to redo a colour that she really wanted and has now decided she doesn't like,
the thing is I knew this was going to happen but she was having none of it so I went ahead!
but i only did it on Saturday and she wants to come in tomorrow to get it done back to how it was before! it's all bleach bleach and more bleach and I'm not happy about doing it so iv told her to wait the two weeks at least but just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing!
