Hi all,

I'm currently on a level 3 beauty therapy course and I recently found out about a level 4 Laser and IPL course that's also available for 7days fast track at the place I'm studying.

I just want to find out if it's highly recommended and the sort of salary I'd be on if I were to go ahead with the Level 4. Also, would that then classify me as a senior therapist?

Lastly, is there a 'highest' qualification in beauty?

Thanks x

Hi, I've just finished my level 3. My place of study offer the level 4 buts it's 2 months. Can I ask where your studying? Inbox me if you like.

The salary range is higher if your trained in laser &IPL I've been researching jobs myself between 20-25k starting plus commission.

A lot of laser jobs are asking for level four. so if you want to go down this route it's worth doing. In terms of being a senior therapist I guess you would be but I think it's not just the qualifications but experience you have in the industry too. I could be wrong.

Apart from Level 4 laser & IPL there's also Level 4 advanced skin treatments and Level 4 Spa management.

xx

It would depend what route you wish too pursue. I have chosen too go down the clinical aesthetics and cosmetic dermatology level 4 as I want too specialise in the skin xxx

Thank you for the reply ladies,

I'm doing both courses at The London School of Beauty and Make-up. It's quite good as you also get skin treatments in the course too x

I want to do this too but am waiting for it to become a bit more 'available' as Sally Durant cant offer me anywhere local to me atm.

Livava does level 4.

I know but they don't do clinical aesthetics there's is a laser course very different too the one I chose xxx

I just finished my level 4 and was really upset about the prospects for jobs in my area. Most places that pay well ask for years of experience and places that will accept without experience pay crap. Hoping it pays off in the long run though

Hi, I believe with any qualification within the beauty industry it needs to be coupled with good solid industry experience, I would not offer a senior therapist role to anyone without a minimum of 2 years salon experience, in terms of salary expectations these vary greatly depending on where you are based.
