Hey guys,

I'm looking for a long lasting alternative silver colour for a client. I usually use Kenra 8SM on her hair but it's really hit and miss on the colour longevity, not to mention the limited availability of the product. My colour range of choice is usually Wella but their fashion colour options are limited. Anyone have any suggestions on a strong silver for a base of 8?
Thanks

Longevity can be compromised if condition of the hair is damaged and it’s very porous.
Also, aftercare. What products are used and does the client use straighteners?

Are you using the Demi with the correct developer?

Otherwise, you could try a Guy Tangs range. They’re very similar.

The hair is in very good condition as it's only had one full lift and then I do a root lift and colour refresh on the rest each time I colour. The client has dart straight hair so doesn't blow-dry let alone straighten. Advised a colour save shampoo and conditioner which she uses to the best of my knowledge.

I'm using the Kenra developer so I'd expect ld long lasting colour. Would you recommend the 8ss in the Guy tang colours?

I haven’t used the SS on its own but I have used it mixed with the SP and that was a lovely colour. As you’re trying to match to an existing colour, I’d probably buy both shades and do some strand tests.

When you do a colour refresh are you just using a semi or are you using something that is opening the cuticle and lifting the old colour?
