Hi all
I'm looking to take on a nail technician in my salon. I was wondering how I go about it?
How much would i charge the technician and the benifits etc

Employed or self employed?

They would be self employed (that's the idea anyway)

I charge mine 30% of her takings, she supplies all her products. Going rate is usually 60/40 but I wanted to give her a little more as she's only just starting out. I supply tea & coffee, use of staff room & waiting area. The hardest thing about renting to a nail tech is if their not in work (they can come and go as they please) it makes you look bad because the clients can never get their nails etc done, if I had my time again I'd employ rather than rent. a renter will have their own business ideas which may differ greatly to yours but you have to shut up and let them do what they want :/
