Hello!
Sorry if I'm doing any mistakes, it's my first posting here. I've been reading several pages from the forum for over a couple of months now, mostly for tips in skincare and haircare. I registered because I've read that some of you geeks perform facials that have more massages, whilst others focus more on extractions.
I'm originally Brazilian and have moved here seven years ago. I used to go back home around every six months, but I've started working three years ago and that has become inpossible. While I was there I used to go to my esthetician and she would do thorough cleasing of my skin, and always with some tiny needles.
I've been going to several different beauty spas and places here (including Rana Mirza, a famous esthetician that I read about on Vogue), and no one does extractions with needles. In fact, I think most people seem actually quite appalled when I ask them about this.
My problem is that I have several bumps on my skin that start to get inflammed but they never ever reach the skin. Sometimes I leave them for weeks; they hurt like crazy, I put endless creams, I try to squeeze them (which I knoooow, I shouldn't - and trust me, I try!!!! -, but I can't help it), I use glycolic acid soap, and still no sucess. It seems like the only thing that makes them go away is a proper extraction.
Can any of you help me? From what I've read here, it is legal in the UK to do this - at some point I honestly thought that it wasn't, given the blank stares people would give me when I asked them about it - or am I wrong?
Furthermore, can anyone give me a good reference on someone that is good on extractions, isn't afraid of using needles and works in the London area? To be honest, even if I have to travel, I'd go for it... that's how bad I want my bumps extracted.
I can't thank you enough if you help me!
Carol
