Im on the nail/beauty side of things but would like some advice before finding a hairdresser. At the moment I have a home hairdresser who cuts and colours my hair with shop bought colours.

My natural colour is auburn but last year I stupidly bleached my hair blonde myself, didnt like it and then since have been having darks. I've had tons cut since the blonde mistake and it is now finally back in good condition.

I would like my hair striped back to natural and then have highlights as im fed up with the re-growth. My current hairdresser wont do this for me and im wary about going to someone else without being sure of the end result.

Could someone advise how a hairdresser should do this, is it possible considering the bleach? Im not going to do this myself im going to find a hairdressers who is experienced in colouring but just want to be sure im going to get what im asking for and am also concerned whether this will leave my hair in poor condition again.

Thankyou

One point I really want to get over is that your hairdresser is wary for a reason, you should go to a salon that has a colour specialist to advise you if it's going to be possible whilst doing the least damage to your hair. When a client approaches me with colours from a shop I clearly state that I'm only trained in Professional colours and I refuse to apply shop colours I'm not against shop colours but I don't know what's in them nor do I know what exact colour they are just by looking at a models shade on the box. Also my insurance company states only professional colours that I have purchased from a wholesaler to clarify legitimacy. It's all so easy for any stylist to pop a shop colour on but if anything went wrong in the most worst scenario we as trained hairdressers could be putting your health and wellbeing at risk and risking careers and gaining a bad reputation in the process for ruining a clients hair. Go to a salon is my advice :)

Im definately going to a salon for this but am wary myself as I dont know where to go, will ask on here for specialist in my area, thankyou x
