Hello
I am quite new to this site, have found many post helpful. I am about to start a beauty college course in September and nail course in June. I have for the past 2 years suffered with rosacea. I have been struggling trying to find a make up to cover it, without it looking too thick when applied. Or causing further outbreaks. Can anyone give me a brand or any advice on this please. Thanks in advance.

Can i ask what skincare you are using? And what makeup have you previously tried that you were unhappy with?

I am currently using a Clinique foundation, and powder. I have tried MAC, Estée Lauder. Lancôme, Dior, Maxfactor, No 7 and Rimmel.

Jane Iredale. You'll get excellent coverage and no skin aggravants at all. It can help protect as well.

Look at your skin care as poor skin care can really affect rosacea.

Thank you I will try that make. How would you treat that condition Vic? I did have a cleans, tone and moisturise twice a day everyday, but I found most products only irritated my skin causing a flare up.

Did you ever try vichy dermablend? It does a good job at covering up but is also really heavy - I found it a bit too heavy. As mentioned above Jane Iredale do a lovely bb cream really good coverage and no irritants. Did you ever try dermalogica ultracalming range? Im sure you have done your homework on the condition if your suffering for 2 years but recently i have heard it can be linked to an yeast overgrowth in the body so it may be no harm to look at your diet and also stress levels will drive it crazy so bare that in mind!

I have only just had a diagnosis, but have had the symptoms for 2 years. I never knew that it could be linked to yeast overgrowth. I was aware that diet affected the flare ups. I will cautiously try your suggestions to see if it helps. Thank you

Ya look it to it further its interesting and may benefit you :)

Hi, try sheer cover, its on the shopping channel adverts, google it. There is someone on there with the same condition as yourself. I use something similar, bare minerals. I haven't got your condition but what I use gives great coverage without looking too heavy. xxxxx

Very gently.
Twice a day to cleanse and tone is a lot. What skincare are you using?

As an aside to skincare and make-up, has your doctor prescribed you anything to help control this condition?
Oxytetracycline will definitely help - it shouldn't, but it will.

Hi,
Make-up can avail instantly to improve the outlook of your skin and to boost your self-confidence about your appearance. Anti bacterial brushes may be best, since even the oil and bacteria on your fingers can irritate skin.use multi-function products, such as a green-tinted base that also contains sunscreen.
You should always test a new product in a peripheral area - your neck, your arm - before using it on your face to make sure your skin doesn't react to it. Please avoid any products that burn, sting or irritate your skin.A sheer green-tinted primer may be good choice for a makeup base!
