Hiya

This is my first time visiting salon geek and its awesome! I've just finished training in manicures and pedicures and i need some advice. I started practicing these on my family members but i have completely lost my confidence when i tried a manicure on my mum. She is a keen gardener and she has quite dirty nails, the dirt wouldn't come out from soaking the nails or scraping it out. I thought about using a nail brush. i want to be as professional as possible and make sure i'm using the right equipment and techniques so i want to check if this is what you guys would recommend? I want to continue practicing but i haven't since this. I feel if i can't even do a simple manicure how can i get good enough to go on to do more advanced courses?!?! I also lack confidence with painting the nails. Is it normal that it takes a lot of practice painting nails? I finished my course in June this year.
Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks guys.
