Hi. I am newly qualified and am offering luxury manicure and pedicures with a foot or hand mask. Do I need to buy the heated mitts or would normal ones be ok? Only problem is I cannot heat them up in the salon if not already heatable!! Any advice would be very appreciated.

Hi. Would a foot mask cream be as good as paraffin wax treatment when doing a pedicure with foot mitts

I would say yes you need heated bootees and mitts for LUXURY manis and pedis.

Paraffin wax is a lovely soothing and softening treatment and is great for a luxury treatment. A foot mask cream does not quite compare.

Other geeks may have a different view with some extra ideas xx

Hi hun

I was taught at college that if you are using paraffin wax then you don't need to put them into the heated mitts & booties afterwards, you just wrap them in a towel or toweling mitts & booties. If any of the other geeks can help I would be interested to know if there's any benefit to putting them into heated mitts afterwards though...

If you are after heated mitts Ellisons have some on offer for £14.99 at the mo. (think it runs until the end of Feb but best to double check)

This should bring them up

Ellisons - Thermal mitts

hth hun xx
