Hi Geeks,

I was just wondering what you wise lot think of Matrix colour...
I've never used it before but I'm quite tempted as it a good price for 90ml tube.
Thanks in advance x

Hi, I did work in a salon where we used Matrix, and i hated it, so much so that i used to take my own colours in.

If its a good price your looking for, why dont you try rusk?

rusk deepshine: 100ml tube, 1:2, cant be mixed as a semi/perm.and the colours are really nice, and deep, there a great range, they smell nice, and i do believe your not compromising quality for price atall : )

Hi I also worked in a salon that used matrix and also thought it was poo tbh...I did a little bit of training on it and you aren't supposed to mix shades , they are pre mixed apparently! I couldn't get my head round this...the girls I worked with would just hold the colour swatches up to a clients head and use the colour that matched best, as u can imagine it never really looked great...I m under the school of thought that the colour on the chart isn't always what u get as u have to take natural undertones in to consideration, so this brand just wasn't for me :/

ive used Matrix before but i have now chosen to move to Goldwell.
i only use Matrix color graphics system and SoReds.... they are lovely. much more intense than any other red in any other range, that i have seen.

OMG i am so shocked to hear this,w e changed to Matrix 2 years ago and it is great, we get great results, shine, customers love it which for us is very important, we get a free technical helpline, we also have a great rep, we get great support from our local educator, free courses at our local wholesaler infact we get too much education. lol and it is all FREE.
The reds are amazing, the dream age collection is superb, and all the colors are just FAB, no wonder it is number 3 now in the uk, beats wella to anything !!!

i agree that the training is secong to none, and the reps and people working for matrix that i have encountered have been amazing. i havent used the range in a while so maybe its much better, i was considering going back.... maybe ill look into it :)

we were on wella for years, the rep was gross and was a pushy bugger shall we say !!!!!
We spent one year alone with Wella £14000.00 alone, and we never got anything and when we asked for some posters they wanted to charge us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so off they went
We were relunctant going to another color house but my god the best thing we ever did, just FAB support all the way and great prices we pay £5.49 a tube for 90 ml and there semi range Sync we pay £4.99 a tube, so the customers are happy and we are happy, Great results !!!!

thanks for all your replies.

I think It caught my interest more because of all the training available, also in house - which I love! None of the others have offered any training at all

I totally agree, matrix is fab, and the educators are brill. Iv been using colourgraphics which id definitely reccommend, and the vlight powder. X

iv used matrix and wella , i i like both, matrix is easy to use as like you say you dont have to mix it, and i love the colour graphics and so reds and the training was fantastic they know their stuff, however i do prefer wella as you can mix it, i have herd goldwell is good, as with all things i think its personal prefrence :)

Vicki xx
