Hi ladies. I'm new to mm and expecting my bottles to arrive today.

Can someone tell me what's the steps of applying this over acrylic nail enhancements/ or gel nail enhancements please. I'd be very grateful x

I just "rough" up the surface of the enhancement, apply your MM mix (curing inbetween), then either MM Amaze Glaze or your gel polish topcoat of choice xx

Thanks for your reply, so when I rough up the surface do I need to apply a base coat? Probably not? Also is it two minutes cures between each colour layer? When do I remove tacky layer. Thanks x

No base coat required on acrylic or gel enhancements. 2 mins cure for UV or 45secs led. Tacky layer is removed once you've cured the top coat x

Says 30 second cure on my bottles?

I think it depends on your lamp, for example my LED lamp cures colour coats in 45 secs, so I cure MM for 45 secs.

If you had the Gelish 18g lamp, then it would be 30 secs for the MM layers, so I would cure in accordance with whatever LED lamp you have xx

any tips on mixing mm with polish?! Iv been trying it out with my vinylux and its just really streaky. Iv tried so many different ratios now that im starting to think im only going to be able to offer mm mixed with glitter or pigment. X

I would imagine with Vinylux you have to work quite quickly, as it dries faster than normal polish. Maybe try mixing smaller quantities. What colours have you tried so far? Some Vinylux colours are a little streaky and require three coats- that's what I've found with some of mine anyway.

Hth xx

iv used cake pop vinylux on myself and it wasn't drying too quick, i kept mixing it and had a 50/60 polish mix. I had to do about 4/5 thin coats. Other colours iv only done on colour pops as wont use it on clients till issues are sorted. Iv also tried mixing, cerulean sea, wildfire, decadence, Blackpool, sun bleached. Im using the little pots you can get from mm to mix up in. X

They are a little messy I know, I accidentally tipped mica powders all over my mum and some of it was being stubborn and refusing to budge off *cringe*

But they feel strong, and she's happy with how they look. She is a serial nail bitter so really we aimed for a neat manageable length for her. Now to see how long they last us :)

The picture does not do the colour any justice what so ever!
I used Barry M Gelly GNP 7 with MM and then burnished a silver glitter around the cuticle and upwards in a gradual effect.
I am so in love with my nails right now, they are the perfect length and now a fantastically bright colour too!

Cuccio Chillin in Chilli and Silver Holo. I used Megamix base and top. The top coat is soooo shiny!

These are lovely. What proportion polish to mm did you use as I'm having issues! Also how many coats did these take?

Aw thank you :)

I did three, third coat was really skinny though. Tbh 2 was enough, but my nails have a really strong colour so I could see the shadow of the smile line.

Ratio wise I think I did about 60% polish 40% Megamix. Cuccio polishes are triple pigmented, so they are full of colour. When I have done other mixes, if my first coat is a bit sheer, I just add a little extra polish, maybe a drop or two to intensify the colour. For glitter i did a straight 50/50.

Hth honey xx

It has been around 6 weeks now since I out these enhancements on! I just keep filling down the polish and infilling them. Almost at the point where my natural nails are at the end of the enhancement! The perfect way to grow my weak nails! ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1405750502.082495.jpg

FREE. I would like to re-home my Megamix gel (pot) Amazin Base and Amaze Glaze.
These were bought from the official Megamiz site, and have only been used a couple of times, so lots of uses left.
There is nothing wrong with them, I just prefer CND products, and Brisa Lite Smoothing gel instead, and it's just taking up room. I would rather they go to an appreciative home.
UK interest only, due to postage. The first person to PM me their interest and, address, will get them. No need to give me your name, for security reasons I will address it to your Salon Geek user ID.
