Hi all,
Thankyou for opening the thread, just a quick query about micro bond, weft hair extensions. I had a full head of remy hair fitted about three months ago and after about three weeks noticed they were considerably shorter than when first fitted. I assume this is due to breakage. They are now considerably shorter than I ever expected (my hair now actually appears to be shorter than my natural hair was before fitting!)
Has anyone had similar experiences/tips on avoiding this in the future?
I religiously follow all care instructions, including plaiting the hair before bed, only washing the extensions only 2/3 times per week etc, and have had regular maintenance which showed no matting/clumping at the bonds.
I am hoping to get a removal and replacement next week as several of the wefts are coming away and the hair itself is in poor condition. I am reluctant to pay £200+ for hair which maintains its length for several weeks, could it be the quality of the hair itself which is causing the problem? I previously had great lengths extensions fitted in a salon and did not experience this problem, although much prefer the micro bond weft method as oppose to the individual bonds, as I feel the hair itself appears thicker.
Any response would be greatly appreciated!!
Thankyou so much, Hannah xxx
