Hi, Iv been told that i can apply micro rings in 2 ways (through proper training companys may i add). First by clamping onto the stick tip and secondly it was suggested to clamp underneath the stick actually on the hair. Has/does anyone do this? how do they stay compared with clamping on the stick tip itself.

many thanks x

Not sure how clamping the ring on the hair itself would hold it very securely in place.

What would be the reasoning to want to clamp anywhere other than on the keratin tip?

Sounds a bit weird? Wouldn't you get the keratin tip poking out the top then this could be seen through the clients hair?

Well i thought it was strange tbh as when i got taught originally it was clamping at the tip. Apparently it holds well???!! if no one else thinks this is a good idea im going to stick to the application i know. Iv not dared to risk trying it incase its not a great idea!

Very weird doesn't seem right, I would say someone who doesn't know how to fit them properly made up that way lol x

haha! well im not going to name and shame as im not into it! but this was a well recommended company!! mad! thanks girls a poor lass would have probably been very angry if i attempted this method

That's not good...lol

Hi,

I always trim my bond to half it's size, then depending on placement I will fit close to the bottom slightly half on half off the bond. I was thought to fit on the bond but after my course I had some advice from my company that if I fit in this way it can help with any sliding down! It works for me and my clients have minimal bond loss ! And no they don't poke through the hair!

Nadia x

I think if you clamp half way down the bond and clamp it hard enough it indents the bond giving it a kind of lid at the top which prevents the actual bond slipping through the ring. I know some people clamp the very top of the bond so under pressure it will just slide out :) x
