Step 1.
Gently warm cleansed and manicured
nails and Minx under the Minx infrared
heat source.

Step 2.
Under heat, select the Minx size that
best suits the nail.

Step 3.
Peel the Minx from the backing sheet.

Step 4.
Under heat, apply to the nail by aligning
the curved end of Minx up close, but not
touching, the eponychium. Gently pull
taut and fold excess Minx over the free
edge and secure under the finger.
Starting at the eponychium, use your
thumbs to smooth Minx from the centre
of the nail to the side walls working your
way down to the free edge adhering
Minx smoothly to the nail surface.

Step 5a & 5b
Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 10 seconds. At a 45o angle to the free edge, remove excess using a Minx glass file. Step 5b shows excess removed.

Step 6a & 6b
Return to heat and use a soft cuticle pusher to ensure complete adhesion and check
that the sides and all edges are snug and air tight.

Step 7
Ask for your client’s approval by getting
them to check for smoothness.

very clear, thankyou.

Fab thanks ! :) , but one Q; when filing The exsess off is this done in one direction strokes , or back and forth ,

Always best in one direction so you don't 'ruckle up' the Minx while it is still warm or cooling.

I usually work north to south along the free edge towards the center from each side using firm strokes.

Thank you for the clear pictures and application technique :)

fab tutorial thank you, I ordered my Minx Mega kit today with extra Minx designs, the training course isn't till April so I'll be practising on friends till then, is there any chance there is a Minx toes tutorial? I've had a good search through the posts and maybe I'm being blind but can't seem to find one:cry:
Many thanks xx

Do you seal the minx with a top coat?

Do you seal the minx with a top coat?

Sealing with a top cost is not normally necessary.

Some find that Minx on fingers wear longer if they seal with a top coat and some use top coat on teensy weeny toes to help prevent peeling.

I wasn't taught to do the nails/feet under the lamp. I place the minx sheet under the lamp whilst did prep and place on nail not under lamp. Training done at Ellison. Would it be better to do the work under the lamp.

Sorry very new to salongeek. Please can you tell me how I watch the tutorials as there doesnt appear to be a link when you press into a tutorial to watch a video?
