Mixing clear acrylic with glitter! How?

How do you mix glitter with clear acrylic ?

I really want to try a glitter fade kinda like a baby boomber but with glitter.

I just pick up a small bead of acrylic then dip into the glitter

I know some people pre mix which I suppose is ok if you will use it a lot. Recommended is 3 scoops acrylic to one scoop glitter
