Hi.
I wondered whether as a mobile therapist you need to have all your products with you for the day, for every treatment you are offering or, do you just take what you need For the appointments made.?

I'm currently in a salon and on occasion I have had clients ask for another treatment, aswell as the one they have booked. Is this possible mobile, or is it best just to stick to the booked treatment.

I have been mobile before, but only offered massage, so I'm unsure what to do. As you can understand we cover many treatments and have many products.
I'd be greatfull of any advice

Hello, I have been mobile for around 2 years and I tend to take what I need for the day, for the appointments made, as you don't always have time to do another treatment. For nail treatments especially, if you offer an ordinary manicure/pedicure using polish rather than gel, AND gels, take both kits!! I had a client who booked for an OPI mani or pedi, then on arrival said how much she was looking forward to gels!!! I was caught out once with this. If you have time in your diary, you could text or phone the night before to confirm the treatment and ask if they want any other treatment perhaps? Just remember to take loads of consumables and towels!! [emoji4]

I have everything in rolling trolleys - one for my nail products, one for my makeup products and a big hard bottomed bag for my facial kit. I always check and double check all the treatments my client has booked and inform them I'll need at least 24 hours notice of any changes to a booking. I'm always making sure they're fully stocked with consumables and that all my towels, mitts, brushes and sponges are washed, dried and ready for use.

Trying to take everything would be an absolute nightmare, I'd need to hire a roadie and a transit van to help me with it all lol - I only take what I need for that appointment.

Thank you everyone that's really helpful x

Nails I take everything with me so if a Client changes their mind or the system they have booked isn't suitable for them I can easily change.

I only take the relevant kits to what are booked in that day so if a nail client wanted to add on a tan I wouldn't necessarily have my tanning kit with me.

Massage I find people just book and want a massage nothing else.

I do however always have some lash glue and brow/lash tint with me so that if a client asks about lash extensions or tinting I can do a patch test there and then rather than having to return specifically for only a patch test prior to treatment.

I have worked in a room for so long, i'm used to everything being to hand, patch testing did'nt even cross my mind. thank you thats a great help. x

I always carry everything with me, more for the fact I have such a mixture booked in each day, but it's also handy for a quick extra like brow was and also patch testing x

I mostly just take what I need for the day but my couch lives in my boot as does my waxing kit. X
