Hi!
I been in the industry for 4 years now and after leaving my beauty job today I looking to go mobile. What are people experiences of this ? Is it hard work getting clients ? How do you wax people when you have to wait ages for a pot to heat up? Is there any other ways you can do it quickly ?

Would appreciate any experiences xx

Hi lovely, I was part mobile part salon based & when waxing I heated the pot before I left, unplugged it & took it with me in a box stood upright on the passenger seat of the car so I could keep an eye on it so there was no spillages :) I've also invested in a roller wax heater which I would do the same with (heating before I left) so it doesn't take too long when you arrive, just make sure it's the first thing you set up or Turn on when you get there.

Its always tricky starting out building up clients, what sort of services do you offer?

Advertising is easy, it's just whatever works best for you, leaflet dropping through post boxes, going in to shops and asking if they'll take some flyers (if they say no then ask for them to take one for their staff room) advertise on netmums, Facebook groups, have offers on your own Facebook page, ask your friends and family to like & share your page, giveaways after a certain number of likes, discounts off of certain treatments, team up with another mobile therapist that offers hair ups or something you don't do, kids pamper parties (nails painted and a little make up) there are lots of options :)

If you need any help at all feel free to message me (if I can help any) :) just go for it & good luck! Xx

Ooh wow! I'd love to do that one day, it looks great!

Yeah just go for it, I was quiet to start with then I'd get busy periods then slow again, it's just getting your name out there & I think being organised is the key :)

Good luck with everything! Xx
