Mole/pigmented spot with hair query

My daughter is 11 and has had a mole?on her chin since she was very young. Our gp checked it several ties and has confirmed it's nothing to worry about however it's now growing thick hair and it's bothering her.
Can the hair be removed by waxing and can the pigmentation be removed without causing scarring when she's older?

I have been told the hair should never be plucked from a mole. I would get some super sharp scissors and cut the hair as short as poss. She should be able to have it removed either on the NHS or privately x
