I was looking for a curly blow dry last weekend and after trying for ages to find somewhere managed to get an appointment. Was really impressed by the pictures on their Facebook and was excited to look like a wag!

I have hair extensions (bonds) and this was explained at time of booking. My hair was washed and that was the start of the nightmare. My hair was washed using boots own version of Pantene and l'oreal elvive conditioner! I almost freaked out when I felt him use conditioner on my roots and therefore my bonds!

I was taken over to the chair and no hear protect or serum was used. He started brushing my hair through but didn't get it 100% tangle free before starting to blow dry. Every time he sectioned my hair to dry, it caught and was really painful but I was too polite to say anything and just gritted my teeth. Until…… he actually pulled two of my bonds out!! When I said this (he just carried on and didn't say anything) he just asked me how long I have had them in, it's been about 2 months and he said yeah it feels like they are quite old as they aren't holding a curl so I'm going to need to use the ghd's. I wasn't too happy at this as I can just curl my own hair!

Also he didn't dry off my whole head and then curl it…… he went over the dry bits if my hair and then rough dried the rest. As the hair was still quite damp my hair was frazzled and steam was coming off it with the ghds. It also didn't curl as it was damp.

This took over an hour and a half and when finished he asked me what I thought. I told him it was awful and I wasn't happy, ordinarily I would have let someone fix it but I was just so fed up I couldn't let him touch it again! Half of it was straight and other parts just had a bend!

Long rant but I had to get it off my chest lol

I haven't had them curly blow dried before, I know that all hair is different but I thought somewhere that specialises in blow dries with extensions would be the best bet.

You should have seen my frazzled ends! I was furious about the shampoo, I try and take really good care of my extensions and don't want to have it ruined by a "professional" lol

Wow 😳 I would be pi@**d

You can't really force the hair to be curly. I had one on last week they hair was so straight and tuff I had to dry the blondes smooth it out and tong it.

Yeah I get that but my friend who doesn't have extensions got done after me (the guy actually said do you still want it seeing as your friend doesn't like hers lol) she's had curly blow drys before that stayed in for days; hers had fallen out by the time we walked out the door.

I came home and used my joico k pak reconstructor so hopefully he didn't do too much damage!!
