Hey guys,

Just wondering what you guys use to transport your kit around in? I am just starting out as a mobile nail tech and am wondering which is best, the trolleys or bags? I have been looking at the roo beauty ones which look lovely but how practical are they, can you fit a lot of kit in them. Will mainly be wanting to transport my gelish kit/lamp and mani/pedi stuff to start with.

Your recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks xx

Hi. I can't help re going mobile, as I'm still training, but thought I'd add my small bit.

I have a beauty trolley from Roo. It's stunning. It's also about 80% full and this is just from my own nail products and OPI lamp (never mind the stuff I'll have after training). It is a quality piece of kit, but it's so heavy when full. This is also my third as the original ones all had courier damage. This was through two boxes and bubble wrap! Roo were excellent in sorting this out though (great customer service).

My intention was to use my trolley for being mobile in the future, but no way now. I'd be scared it would pick up damage too easily. It also wouldn't fit in my car without being laid down, so this is another no no.

I also have a Roo tool bag (much too small for mobile kit), but it's really nice and well designed/thought out. I'll definitely look to get a large beauty bag by them for mobile, as bottles can stand and it will sit nicely in the car.

Just my thoughts.

Hi. I'm mobile and bought a large holdall with wheels ( the travel kind). I carry my gel polish in the gellish rolls from harmony uk. Rest of stuff in transparent toiletries bags from salon services. It is heavy but can be pulled on wheels. My lamp and extension lead are in a separate shoulder bag which is light over my shoulder. I have a fold up table from Lakeland which I carry. All in all this set up works well for me . Hope that helps x

Hiya, I use the Roo Bellaroo Bag, it has a separate detachable polish holder on top. It holds all my liquids, mani tools, CND lamp, daylight lamp, towel roll, CND towel & extension lead. I also offer Gel II, so have another box bag (matching the bellaroo) that has 3 separate polish holders inside for Gel II and Vinylux. Unfortunately my stamping kit which is growing weekly does not fit in any of these, but my clients are not very adventurous with stamping, so don't always need to bring these! HTH x

Hiya, thanks for all your replies. It is always good to hear other peoples opinions and recommendations. I guess like anything there are pros and cons to each and it up to each of our personal preferences. I like the trolley because I could keep everything together at home and out of the way of my kids when I don't need it but I hadn't thought about getting it onto the car. I will have a look at the bags and compare some more. Thanks for all your help everyone xx:lol:
