Can anyone also advise me of the benefits of forward/reverse and of a foot peddle?

be careful, there are so many cheap china copies everywhere. Sounds to me that all the makes you said are the cheap ones and you can get these all on ebay.. However, they are all a waste of money. The kupa drills are the best but there is alot of copies out there.
