There is a lot of discussion re; white spots after gel polish removal and whether it be caused by dehydration or damage to the nail plate.

After removal of gelish I sometimes have little hole type dips on the nail plate but am quite certain I have foundation layer still on the nail plate and the little holes are where the remover broke right through. The area is white until I then gentle buff over it and then it goes white. Again making me think it is because there is part of the foundation layer still on the nail surface. The surface can still feel quite textured. Just wondering if anyone else could relate to this? Or if there was any suggestions to know if this is the case?

What did you find out on this subject I have the same issue? What do you do if the foundation layer is still there after you soak?

Just soak a little longer. It goes completely.

Yeah this happens to me when I apply gelish on my own nails as I must apply the base too thick on myself, I just wrap the nails again and soak for a little bit longer.

Soak for a little longer that should remove any left over foundation left on the nail plate.
Also You aren't advised to buff the entire nail at every removal. Only the regrowth area. x

Thank you
