Hello,

Can anyone give me some advice on what treatments I can do to try and repair the damage to my nails?

I have had Bio Sculpture overlays for about a year and a half and I had them taken off two days ago and I was shocked at how bad my nails were underneath. I originally got them because the nail technician said it would help my nails grow and wouldn't cause any damage to my actual nail.

My nails are extremely sore to touch and very flaky. Underneath the nail is red on all my fingers. They are peeling off right to the part the nail is connected to the skin. They are very thin.

I'm so upset. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I can post photos if needed.

Thank you very much.

Briar.

You can't really do much about it..

Bio gel is made so it will not do any damage to your natural nail, it can only do damage if taken of wrong or if it has been put on by someone not knowing what they do..

The best advice i can give you is to keep your nail natural as it is now and use a lot of oil. You nail is only dead skincells, ans you cant really do much to improve their strenght, other than using oil around the curticle. The oil will have an effect on the curticle and the moon of the nail, you will not see any improvement in the tip of you nail untill 5-6 months.. That's how long it takes your nail to grow out again, but if you use the oil everyday you will grow out a stronger nail.. :)

Keep you nails natural for the next 3-4 months and then find yourself a better place to have your nails done... Often it "pays off" to pay a little more for your nails... :)
