I did a color tonight, reverse balayage, on the roots and some pieces (to add dimension) I used a 5A in paul mitchel, and on the rest of her blonde pieces I used a 9A, also paul mitchel. Her hair came out wayyyyy to ashy, silvery pretty much grey and i need to add some warmth back into all of it. Both were permanent color. I cant find an answer on how to fix it and it needs to be done tomorrow. And the only reason I used the As in that brand was because when I would use the Ns they came out way to red. Help:(

First step I'd use bleach and water, this will shift tone, without affecting the level. This will help soften the colour. I wouldn't add any more colour until you've removed some of this excess tone, because it will only end up darker and probably more of a muddy colour.

And you would put the bleach and water over all the hair even though it's a balayage?

Well you put it where you have the undesired tones, if you're happy with the root colour, don't put it on the roots.

The root color is pretty ashy too and the brown pieces in between the blonde, I could probably get away with just putting it on the blonde though.

Which colour house did you train with? A 9N won’t have any red in it.

We use paul mitchel at the salon but the 5N in that line is just straight up red so since I was using a 5A I figured I'd use a 9A on her ends. Which was a huge mistake because her hair was way to porous.
