Are you using a recognised training company to train with. If so, you'd be best using their training kit and products as they will supply exactly what you need.

A useful analogy when deciding who to train with or buy products from...
If you use Tesco value products you can't expect to achieve michelin chef type results lol.

In other words, go for the best you can afford as you will never regret quality training.

Good luck.

Thankyou so much someone on here recommended Rachel Nail Training Leeds as i was going to go with Sweet Squared LLp but i can't afford their courses but iv read reviews on Rachel and she is ment to be quite good it's a 20 week course iv seen alot of products on ebay and i thought i could get some stock together also but i think i may contact Rachel and see what products she uses thankyou again xx

Hi Hun, I would steer clear of e-bay products for now. At least until you have trained and know what you are looking for. The problem with e-bay is that a lot of their products are not from genuine distributors or cheap knock offs which would invalidate your insurance if you ever needed to claim or have someone sueing you for whatever reason. The only things I would buy from there are items being sold by nail techs who are maybe changing career or changing brands. I got a lovely start up kit in that way and have added to the kit as I became more confident.

I agree with the other geeks on this one, buy your kit from your trainer and make sure that the courses offered are fully accredited by the Guild at least. If the Guild accredits it, their insurance will cover you.

Hi, What is the price difference between Rachel and Sweet Squared? I'm asking because I would strongly recommend saving up for a bit longer and going with Sweet Squared. Thats not because I'm saying Rachel's training isnt good, I've no experience of her so cant comment, she might be very good, but what i can tell you is that the training at S2 is excellent and so are their products. If you train with S2 they will give you the training you need to become an excellent nail tech, and you will be able to buy CND products. Customers do ask which products you use, and I love it that when this happens I'm able to say that I use CND because clients do seem genuinely impressed that I'm a professional and I use professional products. If you go with the other training, it may be excellent training, I couldnt possibly offer an opinion, but I do know that you wont be able to buy CND products. Its much more impressive to your client if you have trained somewhere that they have heard of and use leading products, and this way you will generate a good client base. Just my own opinion :D
