The popularity of keratin shows no signs of stopping. This time Jamie Stevens, hairdresser to Elle Macpherson and Eva Herzigova, has introduced a new keratin blowdry at his salon in Somerset for just £10.

Keratin is commonly used as a hair treatment to straighten and smooth - and typically comes at a high price. Now Stevens, who is resident hairdresser on This Morning, How to Look Good Naked and Gok’s Fashion Fix, believes he has harnessed keratin in a more accessible and affordable way.

“I wanted to offer a less expensive alternative to the permanent blow dry and as a quick fix treatment this is incredible,” Stevens confirms. “It leaves the hair in fantastic condition.”

The treatment takes place while the hair is blow-dried, with a special device fitted onto the end of the hairdryer to distribute the keratin and dry it into the hair. The treatment is said to promote smoothness, shine and offer long lasting effects.
