Hi there,
I am just training in acrylic nails and was wondering what polishes/colours were best to use? I eventually want to use a gel polish on top but until then, want to offer normal colour but unsure what to use? Can it be everyday polish such as rimmel, avon, ect or better with a certain brand? If so, where would you get them from?
Thanks!

It gives a better impression to the clients if you use salon brands such as cnd, Orly , opi, Jessica etc.
I would look at polishes from the same company as you intend for acrylics or from the same wholesaler as this will make ordering easier in the future.
Visit some trade exhibits too

Once you are qualified, send a copy of your certificates to some wholesalers such as Ellisons or Sweet Squared, then if you would like to offer CND shellac (after doing a Shellac course with them) you will be able to purchase CND from them. For regular nail lacquer, CND vinylux is a good start, it doesn't require a base coat only Vinylux topcoat, it applies and lasts well. O.P.I have some lovely colours and is a professional well known brand, this is available from a few wholesalers, one being Capital Hair and Beauty, (again you need to show Qualification certificates) and as mentioned by CFBS Orly and Jessica are also good brands for the professional. I hope this helps, you will have lots of advice off some of the lovely people on this forum, we've all been in the same boat at some point x
