New to Gelish

Hi

I have recently invested in the Gelish Basix Kit so I can start doing my own Gelish manicures at home. I have also purchased a 36 watt uv lamp and a variety of Gelish colours.

I have done a couple of Gelish manicures and think my technique is improving each time, although I struggle to get a perfect finish around the cuticle

I was wondering if any of you experienced Gelish users had any useful tips to help me get started?

Hi,

It's just like painting nails with regular polish. Have you done any courses? You haven't got any qualifications listed on your profile.

Gelish is a professional use only system therefore I advise you do a manicure course then the Gelish training.

I am fully aware that Gelish is a professional system and plan to do a manicure and then the Gelish course, but have tried the products out ahead of the courses starting. Although thank you for pointing that out and also moving my thread to the correct place.

At Luffoo
I have been painting in the same way as I would nail varnish but it seems harder to get a perfect cuticle line. Do you have any tips?

I guess practice will make perfect in the long term!

How have you bought Gelish if you hold no qualifications? It could be that your problems are because of the products you have if they were not purchased from one of the authorised retailers.
