water= peroxide=

Q3. 50mls of 10vol

Hi Emmabey,

This chart may help:

Strength you haveStrength you wish to createPeroxideAddWater
40 vol30 vol 3+1
40 vol20 vol1+1
40 vol10 vol1+3
30 vol20 vol2+1
30 vol 10 vol1+2
20 vol 10 vol 1+1

If you think of it as percentages: If you have 40 vol and want to create 20 vol, this is literally half and half that you would need to dilute the peroxide by. So if you need to mix up 100mls of colour and wanted to create 20 vol from 40 - you would do: 50mls of 40 vol and 50mls of water. Hope this helps :)
