Hi All,

Love the site, most interesting.

I qualified this week and am starting my own mobile business up. My Business name is "KNOW NAILS" and I have registered it so it's all mine.

I was at the hairdressers on Thurs and chatting to him about passing etc and he offered me a space in his salon. He has just changed the image of the salon as his clients are getting younger and trendy and wants nails but has no interest in doing them himself (or his staff).

I'm going in for a Fri / Sat each week and he reckons he can book me fully for at least two days a week. with the possibility of more days.

Should I get excited or his he just making it sound better than it is.

He only want minimal rent as he says it will promote him and make his salon look better.

His twin brother owns two salons in London and has two nail bars in each that are packed out 6 days a week. I am hoping that he doesn't think its going to be the same in the Midlands.

I would appreciate you comments and advise on this. Thanks.

Rachel

Good luck it sounds great, it will be a fantastic experience for you either way.:)

this sounds like a good opportunity for you chuck - id grab it with both hands, i just wish someone would come on here from the north east wanting a nail tech, but it never happens  id go for it pet, keep us informed

If your worried about making the rent how about offering him a percentage eg 20% that way if your of sick or have a bad week he only gets 20% of what you earn.

alot of nail techs do it this way and it helps alot when your just starting out.

good luck
