Hu guys!!

Ive just recently done my training with Balmain for their double hair and fill in extensions and I have gone on to place my first order for hair....I bought a colour ring at 40 odd pounds after being told that it had their full range on it.

Colour matched my client and rang to place the order only to be told that they don't do the colour I matched in double hair...so I had to go to the next nearest shade!! I'm completely lost with them as I also ordered fill in exts to blend the double hair and was told that some packs of fill ins don't come in all colours either!!!

I don't know if anyone else is completely confused upon dealing with balmain?? :(

I always have that problem with balmain, they never seen to do any colours off the ring! I normally go for nearest but lightest as its easier to tone down than to lighten extensions!

Why did you pay for the colour ring, it should have been included in your kit.

I've never really had a problem with them, apart from the other week when I ordered removal gel for my gun, and they sent and charged me the actual gun, I'd even got Ian to read back my order. It took them 8 days to to refund me.

It is annoying that they don't do all colours in all ranges, my client Friday will have a mix of natural straight and straight.

It does bug me though that they don't offer trade discounts, it's same price ordering from them or getting it from the wholesalers, I did challenge them about it and they said it is trade!

It makes it near impossible to price quote a client at consultation because you just don't know what the script will be when you call them! :(

The training day was another disaster I went to capital fort balmain training and took £150 with me thinking if I needed to buy anything it was surely enough...wrong! I had to buy the connector (fair enough) the hair treatment pack (which was applied to a doll that I also had to pay for!) so all in I paid £328 for 'kit' not including the £90 I paid capital to attend! So over £400 in the end!

I was told to ask for Ben so I spoke with him he took my order and after I came off the phone - I realised I needed to change one of the colours and that he had taken my payment details without telling me the total! I rang again and spoke to a girl who took my payment details again and promised me the amount wouldn't go through twice!

I asked her to tell me all the double hair (that's what I fit) shades and she seemed quite annoyed! I bought the colour ring from them at £43 something as I was told it was the all singing all dancing one that had every shade on it! Meanwhile I'm busy colour matching hair that I can't even get in that range!

For a company claiming to be the best I'm so disappointed in their customer service! :( hope it gets better as I love the hair!!

Yeah they can be a bit annoying. They never tell me my total and have my payments on file so sometimes I have to stop them before they start charging me. It's also annoying they don't send my confirmation and invoice emails so I can keep it all organised.

I don't do double hair but the fill in is so annoying they don't do value packs in all colours. The value packs work out at a really decent price so it sucks! I usually end up mixing value and 20 piece packs to make the colour great and luckily most my client have been close to the value pack shades. But yeah, super annoying about the different colors and color rings. They do come out expensive but in my opinion so worth it. Having mine refitted today!

Maybe send them an email with your concerns? They ate a big company and I'm sure they would want to be the best and improve.

So - do you not get a confirmation email or invoice with your order? The girl on the phone told me I would? How are we supposed to do our books without these? :/

Are the value packs the packs of 50? Thing is if they don't do the packs of say 10 or 20 in certain colours you end up with more than you need - which then affects the price of your order which then means you make less profit from fitting clients. I think I definitely will email them so annoyed I bought this colour ring which is no help to me at all! X

I charge the client for all the hair, but any left over I give it to them to keep, they can then use it for maintenance or when refitting, I explain that so they're happy with that.

It is annoying they don't tell you what you're getting charged, I always make them tell me now, lucky I did as I was told one price then another when they sent and charged me for the gun. I could prove I didn't order it then.

Was supposed to get my delivery today - didn't come called to query and just thought I'd ask her to confirm my order and they're sending me an extra pack I didn't order and have charged me for it!! I made sure twice my order was correct before dispatching!! I'm gobsmacked at the scattiness of their business?? For such a large company!

Hair came and I got an invoice!! WOOHOOO!! haha

Just been on the phone to balmain and they are now discontinuing the lite range which are the only ones I have been using! I find them clueless and unprofessional! Need to find another company! Any ideas?

I know what you're saying. I'm not as happy as I used to be anymore about their hair. I feel for that price I could get better without the brand name. I do like the way they come as it is easy to apply and the glue but not overly impressed as I have the blonde in at the moment and I remember it being much better.

I don't have them myself but my clients do and I love the hair but then there do useless, always out of stock, late delivering, pressurised selling and another long list which I shall not bore you with! Don't no what to do now :s

Wee bit off topic here but I'm trying to dye some balmain level 6-10 right now and I'm getting worried as it's not changing....at all! :O has anyone had trouble trying to dye them?

I always got taught if they don't match then go for lightest and colour darker! Also when colouring them you have to really rub it in as they don't soak through properly.

Always darker never lighter!

Yeh I had the level 6 10 -although their 6 is not a global 6 more of a 7 and put a wella 4/07 on - they took AGES to darken a good hour or so and yes they have gone slightly patchy - I'll re do them and make sure I keep rubbing it in - nightmare!! Thanks guys :D

Always darken, never lighten because you can ruin the hair!
