I am struggling with doing gel extensions on my right hand working with my non dominant hand and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or techniques doing their opposite hand? Thanks!

I tend to do this hand first. Take your time. When filing hold something round so your fingers are rested against it, this helps with the comfort of the hand being filed and more steady. And practice. That's it sorry. I just kept doing that hand, rested it against something when filing, and looked at the nail from all angles. I still am never happy with this hand 20 years on hahaha...….

Thanks so much for the advice!

Practice and more practice, the more you do it the more you will naturally find the methods that work for you personally. You’ll need more support for working on your dominant hand, and to steady your non dominant hand, but it’s down to what you find most comfortable in the end.
For sculpting it’s often helpful to sometimes hold the medium relatively still and move your nail about below it, on and off, at certain points.
You’ll be surprised how quickly you can improve!
I sculpted and hand painted these with my non dominant hand, it was a bit of a challenge and took three times as long to achieve than a similar scheme on the other hand but I’m glad I stuck it out. Just don’t give up, you’ll get there.

Just do it first to get it out the way lol.
And it’s just practise. I used to find it much easier however I don’t do my own nails as much now.
I’m also never happy with the shape of my dominant hand. I wear my nails long and can’t support them when shaping.
