I'm looking for some advice on where I stand... A hairdresser that I'm new to has coloured my hair a lot darker than what I asked for. I don't want to go back for her to fix it as I have lost confidence with her, can I request my money back?

Thank you for any advice you can give.

Are you planning on going to get it corrected in another salon?

Most salons will offer to fix it for you rather than refund it. Maybe you could visit a p different stylist within the salon if you don't want that particular stylist.

I'd rather go to another salon to have it fixed, I would feel really uncomfortable going back even to see another stylist.

I just feel quite annoyed that I'm out of pocket for something I didn't ask for. I think she knew it wasn't right but I said I liked when she asked as I just wanted to get out of the salon.

You should really give them a chance to fix it instead of demanding a refund. If you weren't happy when the stylist finished you should have said " actually it's a lot darker than what I wanted".
If you go to another salon to get it fixed and not let the original salon fix it for you, you won't get a refund x

You just need to ring up and explain it wasn't what you asked for during the consultation, the salon should offer to rectify it for you, so you'll have to be prepared for another stylist to do it or ask for a full/ partial refund.

But they would have to of been in the wrong, so you and the stylist must have discuss something completely different to what you have now got?

Then it's down to the salon to make that decision for you, we can't give you a script as we didn't see the consultation and how different it is.

If you wasnt happy with your hair why did you pay for it?

I would return to the salon and ask them to correct it.

If your not willing to let them correct it for you then you aren't entitled to a refund.

I was just shocked at how different it was to what we had discussed, I showed her a photo and she said that's no problem.

I don't like confrontation I just wanted out of the shop.

I will call and discuss with them.

Thanks for your help xx
