Hi everyone... I desperately need some help... I have a question on my homework that I am incredibly stuck on.
I am in no way asking for the answer, just for someone to point me in the right direction... The question is:

Describe the structure and function of the lymphatic vessels of the:

Hand and Arm:

Leg and Foot:

Now.. I seem to have been able to answer the bit on structure... But having trawled through countless books, websites and handouts.. I have now drawn a blank.. I have been stuck on this question now since Thursday just gone... Can anyone help me xxx

So you're stuck on the function part of the question.........why do we have a lymphatic system and how does it work?

What I'm confused about is the fact there is two parts to the question... I would have thought that the function for hand and arm and also leg and foot were exactly the same?

For example... if the question was to read:
Describe the structure and function of the lymphatic vessels of the Hand and Arm/Leg and Foot: it would be easier to answer... but because they have asked for two separate answers, and answer for hand and arm then a separate one for Leg and foot...
I'm debating on putting the same answer for both parts xx

Not my area of expertise, but I'm guessing that you could start with Structure as a heading and include a diagram for each limb with a description under and then another heading called Function and write a descriptive piece about the Lymphatic system.

I googled exactly this and some useful pages came up:

"Describe the structure and function of the lymphatic vessels of the:

Hand and Arm:

Leg and Foot:"

Also, the description of the process seems to be universal for all body parts. In this regard I would just describe the general lymph process to answer the question and not make it specific to hand and or foot. If more information is required your tutor can help but it may be the case that a description of the general lymphatic process (such as that which comes up in a google search) is sufficient.

The function is the same Hun your right, so just describe the structure which is different for hand/arm/foot/leg obvs. The function of the lymphatic system is the same for both x
