What offers do you guys do when you are having a quiet month? I was thinking of doing free gel toes with any gel hands that are booked in for January to get custom and because everyone is skint but wondering if November is going to be quiet too before the Christmas craze!! X

I tried offers when I first started up but they weren't that popular.
I was quiet last month but was very busy this week and still getting several new clients each week.
I didn't find January quiet, my regulars were still booked in for their 2 or 3 weekly appointments.

If I had it to do over, knowing what I know now, I would never have offers.

I tend to use offers to introduce a new treatment I have brought in.
Package offers usually work well. I price these at about £40 to £50 for say 2 hours of treatment.
I choose the high profit treatments such as massage.

I don't put offers on anything that I already have booked in for that month - so never nails, eyebrows, tinting, pedicures or anything else that is under a tenner normally.

The point of offers is to draw in new clients or extend the range of services your existing clients have. Don't think that having a cheap price will fill your appointment book, only leads to poor quality clients

When I first started, I did do offers. However, my prices are reasonable anyway and my offers were literally only attracting clients that were after cheap deals, so they did not stay as loyal clients.
I have lots of amazing loyal clients, all of which I have gained through word of mouth and came to me without any offers at all!
I do introductory offers though if I am offering a new treatment, normally for a month.
I also have a couple of packages which are all year round and printed in my treatment menu. Each includes two/three treatments and works around £5/£10 cheaper than having each treatment individually.
Completely agree with CFBS, constant offers on your treatments devalues your service and unfortunately does attract the wrong clients.
