Oilier skin types do benefit from professional advice, the problem with OTC products is that they can be quite harsh and without seeing your skin it can be a minefield to know what to suggest. I have oily skin but at the moment its quite controlled, I cut out dairy for a few months, this had a massive impact upon my skin, oiliness and congestion.I need to resort back to this. Everyone is an individual and what works for me may not be effective for you. In the past I ve found that the aromatherapy based products are very good, decelor, darphin, eve taylor, elemis, espa. I also steam my skin twice per week for 5 minutes and then mix up my own clay mask, depending upon what skin conditions that are present ,i.e sensitivity, dehydrated etc.
So in essence then the best advice is to book in for a facial appointment and let the therapist assess your skin.
