Does anyone have any good ideas for a long nail station to seat about three techs? It'll be custom made so any advice on what it's best to make it out of?

How much room is needed for each tech and what's the best way of separating each bit?

If you have any pics or links you could let me have, I'd be grateful.

Thanks xxxx

Does it have to be staight? If not you could use a large sheet of mdf and a jigsaw to make a sort of wave shape (if that makes sense) then each tech would have their own designated space. You can also look on salons direct who supply some funky nail bars.

Hi Kimmie

Ive got a big thing over my bed from Ikea, its like a shelf on wheels. We use it for decoration and the occasional breakfast in bed!! I was told it would make a great nail table, but its too big for one person, might be ideal for 3 though?? if you are coming to my geek meet I will show you it... xx

I am really intreiged sounds fab, I want to see to. Have you got any piccy's?

erm.... i will see if i can find one.....

Sorry to be a nosy Geek but I love funky decorating idea's, it just sounds so fab I want one!

I like! Looks fab, I would love one but would probably never see it as it would be used as a clothes rack by my OH and a climbing frame by my daughter LOL!

Kitchen work top has been used before - I'm sure one of the Geeks used it for her nail bar  Anyone remember who it was?

As for the space needed.......probably a metre or so for elbow room, table top essentials, privacy and general comfort. My nail desk is a meter long and it's plenty big enough.

Kitchen worktop comes in 2, 3 and 4 metre lengths, although the 4m is harder to find, this I know as I did our kitchen 3 months ago and needed 4m worktop

Anyone good with a jigsaw could cut it to shape for you, they give you loads of iron on trim for the edges so it would be finished nicely too

I've just checked and it was Bodacious who used the kitchen worktop - she did have pictures loaded but it looks like she's taken them down now

She's not been on the site since April, but try emailing her Kimmi, she might still have some pictures that will spark some inspiration for you
