I have a client who has been having acrylic nails from me for the last 3 years. During the last couple of months I’ve noticed that 3 of her nails have been lifting away from the nail bed.

My client seems to live a fairly healthy lifestyle, and has a nutritious diet, so I don’t think that it’s a vitamin deficiency.

She doesn’t have a reaction to the acrylic as her skin isn’t inflamed etc. And the nail itself is healthy (apart from where it has lifted)

I’m aware she’s currently going through ‘the change’ could this be a factor?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you xxx

She will have oilier nail beds due to the hormonal changes, are you using dehydrator and / or primer? These will help them stick x

Onycholysis is the nail plate actually separating from the nail bed, not the product separating from the nail plate.
