I am a bit concerned about a salon local to me - I don't want to give too much away in case they are identifiable and sue me - but being a former Nail Tech myself and still having my sculptured nails regularly at my fave salon, I've been hearing a lot about a local place that really hurts people! Anyway, as I am nosey, I went down and had my next lot of infill/backfill there and boy - they hurt me. My nail beds were on fire! I complained a lot but they didn't speak much English. I noticed the tools were used and not 'barbicided' between clients, mainly they were just rough and harsh with the drill and file. Also, the clipping off of old lifted nails was really harsh and painful. :irked:
I understand that some salons are unregulated and we should avoid them but what worries me most of all is that this one has Creative Nail Academy logos and posters everywhere and in my eyes Creative Nails are a well respected and reputable company, I really can't see that they would want their name on this horrible salon!
I can't imagine that these 'techs' are Creative trained. How do they get away with this? I have had to tell loads of people that having false nails should be a pleasure, not a pain endurance test!
